The staff at the Museum bei der Kaiserpfalz in Ingelheim were looking for ways and means to preserve these archival treasures and finally found a solution. In collaboration with the company KLUG-CONSERVATION several two-piece type KS 16 type boxes were custom designed to store these valuable three-dimensional objects – thus preserving for posterity. The KS 16 boxes are made from ageing resistant corrugated board FW 3.0 mm – strictly in accordance with the ISO 9706 standard.
We would like to thank Mrs. Sabine Strauch-Warzel from the Museum bei der Kaiserpfalz, Ingelheim am Rhein, for the pictures and the permission to publish this article. www.museum-ingelheim.de
